Imagine. The amber shades of a sunset, blending seamlessly into the bluish horizons. The serene star-filled night sky that follows and covers the bustling city streets beneath it, breathing its pulse, its voices, its ever-moving sounds of life, flashing coats of colours, dimming lights, entwined lovers and quiet solitudes. Imagine. The shuffling leaves as they wave upon the edge of a branch just outside a window. The zephyr that glides across patterned curtain tails, bringing the coloured air of the ever shifting seasons: the red of springs, the green of summers, the amber of autumns and the white of winter.
 
 
It is with thus imaginations, our imaginations, that Okamoto Noriaki's debut album Telescope welcomes us to his cinematic sonic world, an imagery-filled, delicately sound-driven, pop-infused electronica soundtrack of at once the familiar and the foreign, dreams and realities, memories and present joys. 
 
Here is an electro-pop musical-picturesque of intricate, weaving piano melodies, soul-tripping drum and electro sound beats, with warm synths of near ethereal beauty, sampled voices of stilled wonders and airy vocals of etched realizations, written, performed and produced by Noriaki himself and mastered by the venerated Tokyo mastering engineer Naph, whose previous collaborations include renowned artists like World Ends Girlfriend and aus.

關上窗，讓雜音消失。關上門，沒有想見的人。關掉電話，斷絕聯絡。世界已經太煩亂，就讓我好好的面對自己，聆聽內心最私密的絮語。
 
 
我知道，別人說我這樣子會沒朋友；我知道，不擅談話會失去很多機會；我更知道，社會上每天都教我們要溝通、要增值、要博聞、要交際，這些才是生存的條件。卻沒有人教我們如何面對自己：可以和自己對話嗎？怎樣處理孤獨？我究竟想怎麼樣？我和這個世界有甚麼關係？溝通是必需的嗎？

先弄好自己的定位，才理會其他事情吧。一個人的世界是一切的原始單位，情感的高低起伏由此展開。okamotonoriaki利用抽離的琴音和碎拍，築起一道水晶圍牆，讓你在裏面模糊的外望，外邊的世界並不重要，因為只有安頓自身，只有先愛上自己，和外界的聯繫才有意義。其實他更想說的是：我自求我道，溝通於我只是附屬，這就是自愛的表現。
 
 
來自大阪的okamotonoriaki本是視覺藝術出身，曾製作過音樂錄像，兼玩音樂也是順利成章吧。之前替strake製作的音樂錄像，用鉛筆和幾何建構的簡約動感，那種自我約束的精鍊情感正好反映在首張大碟Telescope上。你並不能簡單的掌握旋律，就算有亦不是過眼難忘又或是甜美易上心的，okamotonoriaki著重的是氛圍的營造，打造讓人思絮安寧的靈動音牆。節拍輕省而總在遠處，琴音和聲效似要撥動情緒卻總是游離浪蕩，大概我們處理自己情緒時也是在失焦、惶恐和困惑中細步前進，慢慢撥開雲霧，完成自我。

良好的可居住性，充分的自主能动、丰富的性格延展，以及情感的累积释放，家给予我们的，便是这些实在而纯真的品质。人、物、空间和世界互为因果地共生共存，不仅映照着彼此的存在，更证明了当我们精心构筑起属于自己的家屋时，内心哲学将伴随物具的丰富产生怎样的变化——正如一句平凡的话语代替了何去何从的疑惑：No place like home。
 
 
定居东京的年轻音乐家okamotonoriaki想必十分赞同这一观点，他的新专辑Telescope正是这样一张细节饱满、旋律悦耳的“自省之作”。它是收敛的，同时意味着自我保护与舒张，仿佛室内光线的均匀移动，由视觉感知逐渐转化为独一无二的声音氛围。它是一次对自然的善意模仿，借助音效勾勒出自然界与人类居住模式间的奇妙联系：可以是一座迷你森林，又或许是微缩海洋，甚至繁星满天的私人宇宙。重要的是，它将温柔地对待你。
